Hanoi, for me, is the Street Food capital of Southeast Asia. It’s my favorite Southeast Asian city.
What I’m featuring in this post is Bánh cuốn. I had it literally on the side of the road. It’s so good! It’s made of Vietnamese steamed rice rolls sheets filled with something like uh smoked pork inside the rolls and topped with fried shallots then you dip it in a Vietnamese sauce which I guess is made up of fish sauce, water, onions and maybe some chillies. I loved it! It’s incredibly refreshing. It’s light and perfect specially for breakfast or light snack.
