Winter Wonderland in Tallinn, Estonia

Tallinn is Estonia’s capital city. I went there during winter and it was so beautiful! I stayed in Old Town which was the best decision I made during that trip. It was so beautiful, I’m so happy I chose to visit Tallinn.

DAY 1

On my first day, I walked around the Old Town, tried to familiarize myself with the buildings and restaurants all around. I travelled alone so I needed to see where I can eat and how I can walk back to my hotel. I stayed a bit longer in the Old Town Square to watch people walk by the massive pine trees in the middle. I loved just watching people interact with Tallinn’s beautiful landscape.

DAY 2

I woke up early in the morning to take a timelapse of sunrise at the Viru Gate. It was glorious! Then I walked around the Walls of Tallinn. Everything within the Walls of Tallinn is a UNESCO Heritage Site. It’s pretty cool. I also walked to the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral which is a beautiful Russian Revival. It’s majestic. I walked back and it started snowing! It was magical, just like a fairytale.

DAY 3

I went to the more modern part of the city which was cool. There was a Chinese New Year celebration. They had the works. A massive dragon, fireworks and dancing Asian people. They’re just missing good asian food stalls so that’s a bust. But it was still pretty cool.

DAY 4

I woke up early in the morning to fly my drone in the middle of Old Town Square. But I got scared so I went to the other side and took a drone video of St Mary’s Cathedral instead. Happy days!

I’d love to go back to Tallinn during spring, it must be so beautiful. 🙂
