Visa-Free (and Visa-on-Arrival) Countries For Philippine Passport Holders

I love traveling. It always bums me out when I want to go see a place then I look at the visa exemption list and almost always, my dear country is not on the list. Visas are often expensive. I’ve even traveled once where my visa was more expensive than my actual airfare! But yeah, it is what it is. I can’t really do anything about it. So I’m writing this blog to help my fellow Filipinos check what countries they can visit without visa. Happy Travels! 🙂

First off, here are the types of tourist visas that you need.

  1. VISA-FREE – This means that you don’t need a visa to enter that country but you can only stay within a specific period.
  2. VISA-ON-ARRIVAL – This means you’ll need to get the visa to enter the country when you land at the airport. Sometimes they’ll require a passport-sized photo so just to be safe, always bring a photo with you. Also, VOA usually has visa fees involved so just make sure you check the fees so you’ll have cash to pay for it.
  3. E-VISA – This means that you can apply for the visa online. You’ll probably get a notification and then feel free to print it out.
  4. VISA-REQUIRED – This means you have apply for a visa at the embassy or consulate of the country you’ll be going to. There will be requirements which varies from country to country so make sure to apply with the proper timings in mind.

Harpa Concert Hall & Conference Centre

This is Harpa concert hall and conference centre in Reykjavík, Iceland. The building features a distinctive colored glass facade. While the exterior is beautiful, the interior is also quite intricate, very sophisticated. I loved it!

Food Finds: Salmon Donburi at Ameyoko Street

This is the view of the Bartolomeo Diaz Beach, Cape of Good Hope in South Africa from the foot of the Cape of Good Hope Lighthouse. It was such a beautiful sight. I stared at this landscape for a good 10 minutes. It was surreal. This photo doesn’t even justify half of it’s beauty. Definitely one of my favorite sceneries in Cape Town.

Meet Darren from Malta

I was fortunate to meet Darren during my short visit to Istanbul. We were hosted by the same couchsurfing host, Burak. He was super smart. He was way younger than me but his point of views are definitely beyond this years. Oh yeah did I mention that he’s from Malta?!? Malta’s population is just over 400,000 and it’s so cool to meet an actual Maltese person. This is the reason why I love traveling coz I get to meet awesome people like Darren! I can’t wait to visit Malta! 🙂
